If you have a product idea that you wish to develop, then I can be of assistance.

I can take your idea(s) from sketch and verbal input to provide you a proposal on how to get your idea from concept to creation.

I can discuss your initial requirements over the phone, face to face and via email. Following this stage I can evaluate what the best route to take would be in the form of a project proposal.

The proposal will include Costs, activities and timescale's. The proposal will form a good reference for the project and prevent project drift.

I can make the whole process as formal or as informal as you like and tailor everything to suit your requirements!

Project proposal
I will give you a written proposal stipulating cost and timescales.

Initial technical feasibility study
The results of this study will determine whether the project is technically feasible i.e. is it possible to manufacture, what legal requirements are required – it may end up that the project cannot be pursued due to the outcome of this.

Design proposals
I can provide you with preliminary CAD drawings to illustrate the alternative designs. The drawings will show typical details such as moving parts, internal workings and 3D visuals of how your product will look.

Working prototype
Depending on the scale of the project it may require a working model for proof of concept. This will let you touch and feel the product and provide you with the finished item that you could promote to potential clients – for this we will liaise with local model maker.

Tooling coordination
Once you have your manufacturing agreements and sales channels in place, we can liaise with the toolmakers to start producing the parts.

These are my core skills but if you need additional help i.e. sourcing manufacturers in the UK or abroad then I will be happy to discuss your requirements.

If any designs require any specialist assistance then I can tap into a pool of engineers/designers I have worked with in the past.
