Aximo were approached by an inventor looking for concept work on a bright idea to integrate popular gaming devices into an Ab exerciser.
The client had worked with a previous designer but had stalled between user research and prototyping.
The client required high end visualisation for a presentation he had secured with HASBRO gaming – and he needed it fast! The client had already conducted lots of research into the market and the needs of the users prior to visiting Aximo. He provided basic drawings and ideas for the first meeting.
Aximo knew they had to help.
The emphasis during this project was speed, as the client had already secured his presentation and the date could not be changed. He required something visual to help present his ideas to win this important contract.
Aximo quickly built up some 3D models of the product, showing different compositions including the different attachments (Wii hand device, mobile phone and Sony Wand). In the short space of time Aximo also looked at the design of a device holder and universal clip/connector.
After seeing the 3D models in composition, the client was happy for Aximo to generate photo-realistic renderings. These were done using Solidworks Visualisation, with effort on lighting, material, and texturing to provide that photo-realistic look.
The client was happy with these and was able to present his ideas in his presentation with HASBRO.
