LOYNDS MINI ROPE SIZER MACHINE

The need was to produce a mini rope sizing machine to fit into Loynds growing collection of low volume lab candy making machines.

In the same fashion as the mini former project we did for Loynds, this project was about making a robust sizer that could handle long shifts but made very small. The larger units are designed for mass production inside factories making huge orders.

After being provided with a basic wish-list, Aximo ensured they had a good list of user needs to help develop the concept and product specification. Another requirement was to inject a little bit of style into the machines – as well as although being functional and robust, they also look good.

After agreement on the concept, Aximo produced detailed drawings and a bill of materials to allow the first unit to be made. This was done at Loynd’s workshops. Despite some initial teething issues, they were soon corrected and the changes fed back into the drawings.
